Accepting Patients Ages 5 - 64

Roger Tunks is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Roger sees patients from school-aged to 64, specializing in people struggling with focus, inattention, depressive thoughts, anxiety, and mood irregularities. He has eight years of nursing experience working in emergency departments and ICUs. In those environments, he witnessed first-hand the effects of people struggling with mental illness who could not get support before it became a crisis. Realizing the need for mental health services, he continued his education as a PMHNP. He hopes to help people understand what is causing their struggles and how to achieve a higher level of mental health before it becomes a crisis. Roger earned his MSN in nursing with a focus on psychiatric mental health from Gonzaga University.

Roger views psychiatry as a collaboration where the patient brings the knowledge of their lived experiences and unique symptoms while contributing his knowledge of mental health, diagnoses, and treatments. Together they can create an individualized treatment plan.

When Roger is not helping care for patients, he enjoys long-distance running, skiing, cooking, downhill mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and two children. Roger is currently accepting new patients and works hard to see them within a week of a request.

Roger sees patients via Telemedicine only in the states of Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Utah.
